Concord and Niagara-based Grape Products Producer upgrades legacy boilers with Audubon

The customer, a Concord and Niagara-based grape products producer, faced a challenge with its legacy steam control system for two boilers, which was critical for temperature control in its juice and jelly production facility. Audubon was contracted to upgrade this major system to improve operational efficiency and performance.

Audubon implemented a solution that included the full demolition of existing control panels, VFDs, and local stations, replacing them with new Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and Yaskawa VFDs. The vendor also developed new human-machine interface screens and updated the network. This upgrade by Audubon successfully improved system performance and operational efficiency for the manufacturing facility.
