A AudioShake Case Study
The indie filmmaker Alex Park of Shep Films encountered a challenge while working on his sci-fi short HORSEFLY. The archival audio of a 1920s Charlie Patton song he wanted to feature was filled with hiss and distortion, making it difficult to integrate into the film. Shep Films turned to AudioShake to address this sound quality issue.
Using AudioShake, Park was able to isolate the song's vocals and guitar into separate stems. This gave him complete control over the mix, allowing him to lower the vocals, raise the guitar, and remove background noise. The solution from AudioShake resulted in a cleaner, rebalanced version of the song that retained its emotional character while perfectly supporting the scene.
