A AudioShake Case Study
MackAvenue, an independent jazz record label, faced the challenge of creating a high-quality live album from a 1971 stereo broadcast recording of an Oscar Peterson Trio performance. The archival tape contained significant crowd noise and audio bleed between instruments, making traditional mastering difficult. The label turned to AudioShake and its audio separation technology to solve this problem.
AudioShake used its AI-powered stem separation to isolate the piano, bass, and drums from the live recording into high-quality individual stems. This allowed MackAvenue's producer to master each element separately, resulting in a cohesive final mix. The solution enabled the release of "Live in Zurich" across digital, vinyl, and CD formats, transforming a decades-old archival recording into a master album for modern audiences.
