The customer, a Grammy award-winning producer named Rodney Jerkins, faced a challenge when he wanted to sample a decades-old VHS tape of Ol' Dirty Bastard. He needed to extract and isolate the late rapper's vocals from the existing backing track on the tape for use in a new track for SZA. He used the stem separation service from the vendor, AudioShake.

Using AudioShake, Jerkins was able to separate the vocal and instrumental stems from the low-quality source material. The successfully extracted vocal sample was then used in the song "Forgiveless" on SZA's chart-topping, number-one album "SOS." The solution from AudioShake directly enabled the inclusion of this iconic performance in a major modern hit.
