ElevenLabs restores Patrick Darling’s singing voice with AudioShake for 70+ languages

ElevenLabs, an AI voice cloning company, faced a challenge when helping a speech therapist rebuild the singing voice of Patrick Darling, a musician with ALS. The project required clean vocal stems from old, mixed recordings to use with ElevenLabs' technology, but none existed; the available audio was filled with background noise and music, making it unusable for high-quality voice cloning.

Using AudioShake's stem separation service, the therapist was able to isolate pristine vocal tracks from the noisy source material. This allowed ElevenLabs to successfully build an accurate singing voice clone for Patrick, who then performed live for an audience of nearly 1,000 people. The solution by AudioShake provided a profound personal impact, enabling Patrick to sing again and plan for an album and tour, while also scaling to help other patients globally.
