Nassau BOCES modernizes 56 school districts with AudioCodes and Microsoft Teams Voice Calling

Nassau BOCES, the largest Board of Cooperative Educational Services in New York State, sought to modernize its communications by migrating from various legacy Cisco telephony systems to Microsoft Teams voice calling. Their challenge was to achieve this transition smoothly while improving manageability, ensuring seamless connectivity, and realizing cost savings, all while navigating complex contractual requirements. To meet this challenge, they partnered with vendor AudioCodes.

AudioCodes implemented a solution centered on their Microsoft-certified Mediant 800 session border controllers (SBCs) and Survivable Branch Appliance solutions for resiliency. They also deployed AudioCodes C455HD Teams-native phones and used the One Voice Operations Center and Device Manager for unified management. As a result, Nassau BOCES achieved a unified, reliable platform with significant cost savings on licensing and support, along with an enhanced user experience and improved collaboration across all its school districts.
