Controlled migration from legacy telephony to Microsoft Lync Enterprise

EPK, a leading bearings manufacturer in Russia, was struggling with a highly fragmented communications environment made up of legacy PBXs, IP-PBXs, and older telephony systems across its offices. The company needed a controlled way to migrate to a single Microsoft Lync-based platform, while maintaining compatibility with its existing infrastructure and reducing escalating support and communications costs. AudioCodes provided the connectivity and management tools needed for this transition.

AudioCodes implemented One Voice for Lync with Mediant B1000 SBCs and gateways at branch sites, redundant Mediant 4000 SBCs in Moscow, plus EMS and SEM for centralized management and call quality monitoring. The solution enabled seamless interoperability with legacy systems, supported a gradual and controlled migration, and improved service quality. AudioCodes helped EPK simplify operations from one central location, maintain high voice reliability, and reduce operational costs through a more uniform Lync-based communications network.
