Playhouse Square, the largest U.S. performing arts center outside New York City, faced a donor-experience challenge: before adopting AudienceView in August 2018 their presale process was largely phone-driven, generating high call volumes, transfers between departments, and a confusing online experience because donor data wasn’t accessible across teams. The development department saw an opportunity to better engage donors if fundraising and ticketing could be unified.
AudienceView’s integrated fundraising and ticketing platform enabled Playhouse Square to onboard donors online (providing usernames, encouraging logins, and highlighting presale benefits) and run a single-ticket presale through the system. The results were measurable: almost 30% of all donors bought tickets online during the presale, 83% of entry-level/new donors purchased online, nearly 45% of presale tickets were processed by non-development or internet roles, and no patrons called with complaints—demonstrating a markedly improved donor experience thanks to AudienceView.
