Illinois Department of Human Services launches census reporting platform in under 2 months with Audentio

The Illinois Department of Human Services faced the challenge of reaching historically undercounted populations for the 2020 census and needed a robust, user-friendly data reporting platform designed and built within an extremely tight two-month timeframe. Audentio was engaged to create this platform to track and report outreach efforts across hundreds of organizations.

Audentio collaborated with UIC’s Urban Data Visualization Lab to rapidly design and build a React-based reporting platform and a public website. The solution included multiple user journeys, real-time map integration, and detailed data validation. As a result, the platform was rolled out in months and facilitated the submission of 41,401 surveys, helping Illinois consistently remain among the top 10 states for census response rates.
