McGrath Collision Center, an Iowa-based auto repair shop, partnered with a leading U.S. insurance carrier and needed to produce detailed vehicle inspection reports (VIRs) to participate in the carrier's direct repair program. Their challenge was to find an estimating system capable of creating the thorough and accurate VIRs required by the insurer for total loss valuations.

To meet this requirement, the customer implemented the Audatex Estimating system from vendor Audatex. The solution provided the comprehensive functionality needed to create the detailed reports, streamlining communication with the insurance carrier through electronic adjustments and reducing time-consuming calls. As a result, the shop found the process much easier and plans to standardize all its estimating work on the Audatex platform.
