CONSOL Energy, a Pittsburgh-based producer of natural gas and coal, needed a better way to build a holistic corporate forecast across its assets. Working with Aucerna and its Enersight platform, the company wanted to move beyond disconnected spreadsheets and single-asset models so it could account for interdependent production, capital, marketing, and facility assumptions across the business.

Aucerna implemented Enersight as a centralized planning and forecasting model to standardize assumptions, connect data across teams, and support what-if scenarios, sensitivity analysis, and integrated asset planning. The result was a single version of the truth for forecasts, improved visibility into bottlenecks and deferred production, and better decision-making on capacity, infrastructure, and capital allocation.
