University of North Texas Creates a Real-Time Hadoop Data Lake to Enhance the Student Experience

The University of North Texas, one of the nation’s largest universities, needed real-time student analytics to improve enrollment, retention, and the overall student experience. To support its “Insights Analytics” initiative, UNT also had to unify data from multiple systems into a Hadoop data lake without relying on slow, hard-to-maintain batch processes.

Attunity implemented Attunity Replicate to ingest data into the Hadoop data lake using full loads, change data capture, and incremental loads. The solution enabled real-time updates, better data governance, and faster decision-making, helping UNT build its strategic analytics platform and reduce the effort required for reporting and data inconsistencies.
