SGK, Turkey's Social Security Institution serving over 60 million people, faced a significant challenge in making timely information available. With high volumes of data stored across disparate legacy mainframe systems, users were forced to rely on a slow IT department for reports, causing delays in critical services like processing insurance claims. To meet their e-government objectives, SGK partnered with Attunity and its system integrator to implement a solution using Attunity Stream's Change Data Capture (CDC) technology.
The solution from Attunity enabled real-time data warehousing by efficiently extracting data from mainframe DB2 databases. This provided users with immediate access to the most current information for self-service business intelligence and reporting. As a result, SGK dramatically improved operational efficiencies; reports that previously took ten days for auditors could now be generated in seconds.
