SEFL Fuels Data Modernization Project With Attunity’s Real-time Change Data Capture (CDC) for RMS

Southeastern Freight Lines, a large North American trucking company, needed to modernize its IT platform by replacing older OpenVMS Alpha servers and moving 1,200 legacy RMS files into a relational database. The challenge was handling non-relational data, capturing incremental changes during migration, and keeping both old and new systems accessible without building a costly homegrown solution. Attunity’s RMS-CDC for SSIS was selected to help accelerate the project.

Attunity implemented real-time data replication and log-based change data capture with Attunity Stream for RMS and Attunity RMS-CDC for SSIS, enabling Southeastern Freight Lines to copy RMS data into a relational database with low impact on existing infrastructure. The result was faster access to real-time shipment, invoicing, transit-time, and load-efficiency data, improved customer response times, and significant savings in time and money by avoiding a custom-built approach.
