Kongsberg Maritime, a global provider of dynamic positioning, navigation, and automation systems, needed better ways to monitor vessels from shore and give onshore teams centralized access to onboard data. Working with Attunity, the company built a communications platform using Microsoft SQL Server for Embedded Systems, Windows Server for Embedded Systems, and Attunity Replicate to connect vessel sensors and control systems with remote data centers.

Attunity helped Kongsberg Maritime implement the K-IMS platform, which synchronized data from offshore vessels to shore over satellite links and made it available to engineers worldwide through dashboards and reports. The solution went live in less than two months and gave customers like Floatel International real-time access to data, faster decision-making, improved safety, better performance analysis, and new business opportunities.
