Food Company, an international food producer operating in more than 100 countries, needed a single source of truth for analytics after acquisitions created data silos and slowed reporting, pricing, and production decisions. The company’s IT team also struggled to extract usable data from about 500 SAP ERP tables and SQL Server sources for its Hortonworks data lake initiative, making timely business visibility difficult.
