Glidewell Laboratories Gains Deeper Data Insights Faster with Amazon Redshift and Attunity

Glidewell Laboratories, the largest dental lab in the United States, needed a faster way to move and analyze rapidly growing on-premises data after its CAD/CAM digital manufacturing shift expanded its records to more than 150 million across 80+ databases. To support better business decisions and cloud-based analytics, the company turned to Attunity and Amazon Redshift.

Attunity implemented an easy-to-use data replication and loading solution that moved data from Microsoft SQL Server to Amazon Redshift with just a few clicks, without custom coding or specialized training. The result was quicker onboarding to the platform, removal of the data transfer bottleneck, and rapid self-service analytics with immediate business value; Glidewell also expected to sync around half a terabyte of data between on-premises sources and Redshift.
