Acast, the global podcast platform, needed to understand how podcast usage was growing and changing in emerging markets so it could expand advertising opportunities. To do this, Acast worked with Attest, using tracker surveys to monitor trends in Canada, Mexico, Spain, and Germany.
Attest helped Acast run an initial benchmark survey and a follow-up wave six months later, focused on daily podcast listeners and topics like ad engagement, listening habits, and trust in podcast content. The research revealed measurable opportunities, including an 8 percentage point increase in Mexican listeners trusting podcasts for political information, and gave Acast sales-ready data now used in collateral and go-to-market decks to support advertiser conversations.
