Case Study: Equinor improves offshore safety training with Attensi

Drilling offshore workers in health and safety best practices

Equinor, a Norwegian energy giant, needed to provide essential and effective health and safety training to its 2,000 offshore oil rig workers who operate far from emergency services in hazardous environments. To meet its industry-leading safety standards, the company turned to vendor Attensi for a new training solution.

Attensi implemented a gamified simulation training program. This involved creating true-to-life, video game-style scenarios based on actual events to teach optimal safety practices. The results were highly positive, with 90% of users saying the training was effective and 94% finding it challenging and engaging. The solution was so successful that users repeated the training six times on average, leading Equinor to enter an enterprise partnership with Attensi to expand the training globally.
