How AstraZeneca Uses Event Marketing to Connect a Global Team

AstraZeneca, a global pharmaceutical company with operations in 100+ countries and 50,000+ employees, needed a way to make its Global Commercial Excellence Summit more engaging and worthwhile for attendees. The organizers wanted a simple, easy-to-manage event platform that would deliver logistics, complement sessions with extra content, and enable real-time social interaction and feedback across a distributed team.

They selected Attendify’s self-service event app for its ease of use, configurability and affordability, quickly building and publishing a branded app that featured a social timeline and hub tools. The app achieved 100% attendee adoption, averaged 55 sessions per user, saw 109 photos posted and 629 likes/comments, kept participants active for nearly a month after the event, and prompted AstraZeneca to deploy roughly 100 more event apps.
