YWCA Central Carolinas, a century-old nonprofit in Charlotte with about 80 employees (a little more than half hourly), relied on an expensive, inflexible web-based time and attendance system that required manual work-arounds and pulled staff time away from mission-focused activities.
With help from Labor Strategy the YWCA moved to cloud-based Attendance on Demand, which integrated with payroll, automated rate codes and kiosk sign-ins, and provided remote visibility. The change cut costs by 35%, reduced payroll processing from 2½ hours to 1½ hours per pay period, and decreased time spent recording and processing time-and-attendance data by an estimated 40–50%.
