A Attendance on Demand Case Study
Maine Veteran Homes is a non-profit that provides long-term care to veterans across six facilities in Maine, serving about 1,130 employees. Facing rising costs and maintenance for an aging on‑premise timekeeping system—and new, rigorous payroll‑based journal (PBJ) reporting requirements under the ACA—the organization needed a more efficient, compliant way to track time, split overnight shifts by calendar day, and produce regular reports that previously took hours to prepare.
In late 2015 Maine Vets deployed Attendance on Demand, a cloud‑based time and attendance solution, with onsite support from Cincinnati Time of Maine. The rollout finished in under seven months with no disruption; PBJ files and daily staffing data are now generated automatically (allowing monthly submissions), DART and other reports that once took 2–3 hours are produced with one click in under five minutes, and the organization has reduced maintenance, technology risk, and manual administrative work.
