State and Local Government, a major United States city government serving over 1 million residents, faced a sharp rise in ransomware-as-a-service and other malware attacks, with limited staffing and strict budget constraints. To validate its defenses against realistic threats and integrate automated remediation, the city selected AttackIQ and its breach and attack simulation (BAS) platform to operationalize the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

AttackIQ deployed its BAS platform to continuously emulate full Kill Chain attacks across live production and test environments, enabling near‑real‑time validation of security controls and automated integration with orchestration/response workflows.
