ISS World Services A/S, a global facilities management provider with about 430,000 employees, faced rising ransomware risk and fragmented security practices after a malware incident prompted centralization of its security function. To get more frequent, consistent testing without hiring additional pen testers, ISS selected AttackIQ and its Security Optimization Platform (breach and attack simulation/BAS) to automate control validation and establish a companywide security baseline.

Using the AttackIQ platform the ISS team mapped past threats to the MITRE ATT&CK framework, built some 150 custom scenarios, and ran continuous simulations to pinpoint gaps and verify mitigations. AttackIQ accelerated remediation (replacing month‑long pen tests with combined workshops), revealed issues in a hosted EDR that led to provider changes, supported M&A due diligence, and gave ISS measurable evidence to guide security investments and improve time to mitigation.
