Everquote Delivering Insurance Policies Online Using Real-time Data Insights

EverQuote, one of the largest online marketplaces for insurance, faced scaling limits with a decade‑old, engineering‑owned custom OLAP stack that delivered poor query performance and made self‑service analytics difficult for non‑technical users. To modernize, EverQuote moved analytics to Snowflake and engaged AtScale, using AtScale’s Semantic Layer to preserve the business user experience while replacing the legacy OLAP approach.

AtScale implemented a semantic layer and semantic modeling plus data virtualization on Snowflake, enabling Tableau, Excel, Jupyter/Python, and other tools to query data with incremental and full cube refreshes for more real‑time insights. The AtScale solution democratized analytics across the company, supported machine learning workflows, and allowed EverQuote to leverage over 85 databases and 1,500 tables on Snowflake while reducing new data onboarding from months to days and dramatically accelerating time‑to‑insight.
