TMD Friction, one of the world’s largest brake pad manufacturers, wanted more flexible workforce management while reducing the administrative burden on its HR Shared Service Center. To address this, TMD Friction selected the Atoss Enterprise Solution for about 1,500 industrial workers in Germany, with an interface to SAP HCM.
Atoss implemented rule-based scheduling, automatic duty planning, and employee self-services across the Hamm and Coswig plants. The result was fully compliant scheduling by qualifications, pay scales, and labor rules, plus leaner HR processes, less manual data entry, and greater transparency; the solution is already live for 600 employees in production, maintenance, and blending, with further rollout planned.
