DB Schenker, a leading global logistics provider, faced the challenge of managing highly complex workforce schedules and qualifications for thousands of employees across its German operations. The ATOSS solution integrated critical planning data like staffing requirements, availability, and thousands of job-specific qualifications into its scheduling. Using modules like Flexible Assignment Plan and Qualification Management, ATOSS provided automatic warnings for compliance breaches and expiring certifications, simplifying planning. The solution was successfully rolled out to six sites managing over 3,000 employees, with plans for further expansion, and enabled digital workflows for shift plan approval by the works council.
