Transforming a gas and electricity business with DORA

Illumia, an Italian gas and electricity retailer aiming to grow from ~200,000 customers to 500,000 and become a top-five player, faced the need to integrate business functions, accelerate billing and cut manual/off-system work to stay competitive. To meet these challenges Illumia selected Atos and its DORA (Digital Operations for Retailers by Atos) platform, based on SAP S/4 HANA, as the foundation for a rapid operating-model transformation.

Atos implemented DORA as a full SAP S/4 HANA end-to-end digital platform (with Hybris and CRM), delivering a reference model, automated third-party integrations and change management in a “big bang” rollout in just 15 months. The Atos-led solution produced lean, real-time operations, accelerated time to market and customer experience improvements, with measurable impacts including reduced full‑time headcount, improved cash flow, faster processes and lower total cost of operating.
