Scottish Water’s new cloud managed desktop service provides an optimized, and secure employee experience

Scottish Water partnered with Atos to modernize its digital workplace while preparing to move all Windows devices from end-of-life Windows 7 to Windows 10. When lockdown began in March 2020, the challenge grew as 4,000 office-based essential employees suddenly needed devices and support to work from home, while maintaining productivity, security, and service continuity.

Atos implemented a cloud-managed desktop service using Microsoft Intune endpoint management with Autopilot, enabling remote device configuration, testing, and staged rollout at scale. The result was an optimized, secure, agile, and evergreen Digital Workplace with remote management and better visibility for the IT Service Desk, plus improved security through centralized updates and controls across all devices.
