Case Study: Axel Springer achieves greater agility and cost-efficiency with Atos Unified Data Center private cloud

A Atos Case Study

Preview of the Axel Springer Case Study

Maximizing efficiency and flexibility through optimized private cloud services

Axel Springer, Europe’s leading digital publisher, needed to speed time-to-market for digital services while reducing cost and increasing flexibility as it evolved a multi-cloud strategy. To modernize its infrastructure and maximize private cloud efficiency, Axel Springer renewed its partnership with Atos to deploy an updated Unified Data Center platform (Unified Data Center 2.0) and required a non-disruptive migration, greater agility, simplified delivery, and cost reductions.

Atos implemented the Unified Data Center 2.0 with VMware vSphere server virtualization, shared storage, WAN optimization and a simplified delivery model, running services in parallel across Twin Data Centers. The result was a smooth, non-disruptive transition that preserved continuity of service, delivered greater agility and stability within a flexible multi-cloud approach, and produced measurable benefits including lower CapEx exposure and reduced operational costs for Axel Springer.
