Atos worked with a major food and beverage company to simplify field service operations for its technicians. The company needed a better way to track service requests, spare parts, travel time, and work hours, since the process was largely manual and depended on technicians’ memory and paperwork after returning to base. Using the Mendix low-code platform, Atos was brought in to create a native mobile solution for handheld devices.
Atos delivered a Mendix-based mobile app that lets technicians review and update job information on the go, log travel and work time in a few clicks, and raise or resolve issues at customer sites. The app also works offline and syncs data once connectivity returns, preventing information loss in remote locations. As a result, the company improved technician productivity, reduced duplicate admin work, and gained better operational transparency and record keeping.
