Case Study: NHSX achieves accelerated digital transformation and wider adoption of GDE Blueprints with Atos

Helping NHSX to enhance and optimise the GDE Blueprinting programme

NHSX engaged Atos to optimise the Global Digital Exemplars (GDE) Blueprinting programme after more than 150 blueprints were already available on a digital platform. NHSX needed a strengthened, sustainable model to improve blueprint strategy and products, expand reach and scope, raise profile and adoption, and enhance the online collaboration platform to make blueprints more accessible and effective for providers.

Atos Consulting ran a survey of 1,600 registered users, stakeholder interviews, customer segmentation and UX reviews, then designed and piloted a redesigned knowledge‑sharing model (including Blueprints on a Page and Technical Annexes) with nine trusts. Atos also developed an NHS Capability Model to identify gaps; the revamped Future NHS Collaboration Platform now supports about 1,700 users with 150+ blueprints and 2,300 artefacts, shows positive user feedback and adoption metrics, and has helped accelerate digital responses such as expanded remote consultations and online collaboration during COVID-19.
