Case Study: Hard Rock Stadium achieves Super Bowl‑grade cybersecurity—protecting 7,100 devices and thwarting hundreds of attacks with Atos

A Atos Case Study

Preview of the Hard Rock Stadium Case Study

Hard Rock Stadium Cutting edge technology in sports and entertainment

Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins and host of Super Bowl LIV, needed to harden its distributed communications network and protect roughly 7,000 connected IT and OT devices after a Department of Homeland Security audit. With just three months to prepare, the stadium engaged Atos to eliminate vulnerabilities, ensure compliance and secure fans, operational systems and critical infrastructure ahead of the high‑profile event.

Atos applied its Major Events cybersecurity methodology and deployed a multi‑layered architecture including cloud‑delivered network segmentation (eyeSegment via partner Forescout Technologies) and monitoring from its Security Operations Center using 20+ real‑time techniques. The solution enabled Atos to manage and neutralize around 700 security events with zero impact on the Super Bowl, protect about 7,000 devices (including 400 OT devices for the halftime show) and monitor more than 1,200 point‑of‑sale terminals while safeguarding telecast, video and scoring systems.
