Case Study: Growing Nonprofit Health System achieves unified patient records and on-time EHR go-live with Atos

A Atos Case Study

Preview of the Growing Nonprofit Health System Case Study

Growing nonprofit health system replaced EHR, consolidated systems and processes with dual IT initiatives culminating in a quiet cutover

Growing Nonprofit Health System, a rapidly expanding nonprofit health network undergoing construction, mergers and acquisitions, faced a hard deadline to move from Siemens Soarian Clinicals back to Cerner Millennium and to unify patient records across acute and ambulatory care. To simplify a fragmented IT footprint and support new services, the organization engaged Atos to lead a one‑patient, one‑record initiative and the Cerner Millennium EHR implementation integrated with Soarian Financials.

Atos planned and executed the big‑bang go‑live, replacing 10 legacy systems (laboratory, ED, radiology, surgery, pharmacy, behavioral health, ambulatory urgent care, occupational health and others), establishing governance and readiness assessments, and managing cutover. The Atos‑led program went live on time and on budget, resumed normal operations 30 days after go‑live, reduced transcription use by 90% through voice‑recognition adoption, and delivered a significantly smaller, consolidated IT footprint.
