Bespoke, Scalable And Future-proof The Newly Installed Communications Solution For Rimaplan Ag

Rimaplan AG, a Swiss land and property developer, faced an aging telephone system with rising cross-location costs, the imminent Swisscom ISDN shutdown and an upcoming office move that risked losing connectivity. To secure a future‑proof, expandable communications platform, Rimaplan engaged Atos and adopted the OpenScape Business X3 solution.

Atos implemented the OpenScape Business X3 hybrid UC system—installed at the main site with two other locations connected remotely—allowing existing ISDN terminals and new SIP phones to coexist and reducing the IT infrastructure from 17 servers to 7. The Atos solution consolidated all channels into one platform, ensured seamless accessibility during the move, added mobile extension, web conferencing and remote access to internal data, and improved flexibility while cutting infrastructure overhead.
