Atos modernizes the State of California’s 9-1-1 system

California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) needed to modernize California’s 9-1-1 system, replacing 25-year-old legacy technology with a faster, more resilient broadband communications platform. Atos Public Safety LLC was selected to help transform the state’s emergency communications infrastructure and support next-generation 9-1-1 services.

Atos implemented a statewide NG9-1-1 network modernization program as the prime network service provider and lead systems integrator, including a statewide ESInet, unified monitoring and reporting, and text-to-9-1-1 capabilities across 449 PSAPs. The result was improved call routing, reduced downtime, faster response times, better situational awareness, and a flexible foundation for future video and photo 9-1-1 services.
