A digital infrastructure transformation journey with Coventry Building Society

Coventry Building Society, the UK’s second largest building society and a top ten savings and mortgage provider, needed to modernize its digital infrastructure to better support members, protect critical services, and keep pace with changing customer needs. It partnered with Atos to replace a complex legacy estate with a flexible hybrid cloud environment across secure data centres and Amazon Web Services.

Atos designed, built, and migrated the Society’s business-critical savings and mortgage applications to the new cloud operating model, completing the programme without unplanned disruption to service. The transformation helped Coventry Building Society accelerate digital initiatives, enable 1,200 employees to work securely from home during the pandemic, meet Prudential Regulation Authority requirements, and reduce its carbon footprint through more energy-efficient infrastructure.
