Pixelberry Studios launches interactive storytelling platform in 12 months with Atomic Object

Pixelberry Studios, a digital game development company, needed to launch an ambitious new interactive storytelling platform called StoryLoom within a strict 12-month timeline and fixed budget. To achieve this, they engaged the software development vendor Atomic Object to build a scalable app that would allow users to create and publish their own choose-your-own-adventure stories.

Atomic Object implemented a solution using a micro-frontend architecture and split the work across three agile teams to enable parallel development. They delivered a suite of six applications, including a drag-and-drop story editor and a cross-platform player experience for web and mobile. The project was completed on time and on budget, resulting in a successful launch. Atomic Object's work also provided valuable insights that went on to benefit Pixelberry's flagship game, which boasts millions of users.
