Cleveland Clinic boosts sleep disorder screening with Atomic Object and 20,000+ app downloads

Atomic Object was engaged by Cleveland Clinic to help scale and improve the accessibility of its sleep disorder screening. The challenge was to rebuild an existing iOS-only application into a secure, cross-platform tool that could reach a wider audience and support the clinic's clinical research efforts.

The solution implemented by Atomic Object was a React Native mobile app called SLEEP, which expanded access to both iOS and Android users. The app integrated securely with Cleveland Clinic's Epic EHR via the MyChart API and used Firebase for cloud-driven data storage. The results were significant, with over 20,000 downloads and 8,500 completed assessments since the relaunch, providing valuable data for research and helping to identify patients at risk.
