Clauss, a leading provider of tools and cutlery, faced the challenge of designing a sophisticated and sturdy utility knife to match their newly acquired patent for a rotating blade cartridge. The innovation required a sophisticated design to enable the blade keeper to swivel while ensuring the tool remained safe to use. They partnered with vendor ATOM for this product development.

ATOM developed the Crossfire Utility Knife, which featured an innovative rotating blade carriage. This solution allowed the knife to rotate and engage to use both utility blade tips. The result was a high-tech, sleek, and sturdy product that was the first of its kind in the marketplace.
