Case Study: Vanderlande achieves global knowledge sharing and a single source of truth with Atlassian Confluence

A Atlassian Case Study

Preview of the Vanderlande Case Study

Vanderlande is growing fast and staying sane with Confluence

Vanderlande, a Dutch high-tech company that builds baggage handling, warehouse automation and parcel systems for customers in over 100 countries, was expanding rapidly and struggling with information silos across business units and geographies. The company needed a way to keep 3,500 employees worldwide up to date and sharing knowledge without losing its culture of openness and innovation.

Vanderlande implemented Confluence as an internal “Vikipedia,” consolidating scattered content from wikis, Lotus Notes and SharePoint into a single, easy-to-use source of truth. Customized homepages, early adopters, moderators and plugins like Viewtracker and Comala Workflows supported adoption and governance. Today Vikipedia reaches about 3,400 unique users (95% of the workforce), has grown from 1,800 to 8,800+ pages, and has noticeably improved findability and employee collaboration.
