Case Study: SourceOne achieves agile, efficient energy-management software development with Atlassian

A Atlassian Case Study

Preview of the SourceOne Case Study

SourceOne develops state-of-the-art energy management software with Atlassian

SourceOne, a division of Veolia North America, provides a cloud-based Energy and Utility Management System used by property owners like the Port Authority of NY & NJ. A 16-person distributed team builds a modular, complex application, and when Philip Portnoy took over development he needed to make the process more agile—existing Jira and Crowd usage was fragmented, inefficient, and lacked transparency.

The team migrated to the full Atlassian stack—adding Confluence, Bitbucket Server (plus Fisheye, Crucible, Bamboo), Hipchat, and Jira Service Desk—and integrated Marketplace add-ons to connect tools and automate notifications. The result was quicker, more agile development with improved communication and visibility, a fast migration, and broader adoption across Metering, Finance, and other business teams.
