Case Study: Escapia achieves company-wide collaboration and $250K annual licensing savings with Atlassian

A Atlassian Case Study

Preview of the Escapia Case Study

Market leader HomeAway standardizes on Atlassian to drive business

HomeAway, the Austin-based leader in vacation rentals with over one million paid listings in 190 countries and 2,000+ employees, needed a unified platform to track and manage software development, improve collaboration across distributed teams, and maintain excellent customer support. The company sought tools that would scale across development, operations, customer service and corporate functions while providing visibility and control.

HomeAway adopted Confluence in 2008 and then, with Praecipio Consulting, migrated from Rally to Jira (plus Jira Service Desk, Portfolio for Jira and Tempo), achieving 93% Jira and 90% Confluence adoption. The Atlassian suite now supports development, customer service, network operations, PMO, HR, sales and finance—helping log incidents, coordinate work, deliver training and track capitalization—while cutting more than $250,000 a year in licensing costs and making collaboration and operations more reliable and efficient across the company.
