Case Study: Hayneedle achieves 33% efficiency gains and improved visibility with Atlassian

A Atlassian Case Study

Preview of the Hayneedle Case Study

Hayneedle cultivates efficiency across the enterprise by standardizing on Atlassian

Hayneedle is a leading online retailer of indoor and outdoor home furnishings (founded 2002, ~500 employees) that needed a unified platform to manage agile workflows. Its IT team was hampered by disparate tools—HP Product and Portfolio Management, Rally, and Cisco Jabber—that didn’t integrate, had inconsistent UIs, and lacked the flexibility required to support a growing e‑commerce business.

Hayneedle standardized on the Atlassian suite (Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, HipChat, Bitbucket, Bamboo) and selected Fringe Technology to accelerate adoption and customization via Marketplace add‑ons. The platform rollout reached IT and more than 20 business teams (e.g., Site Merchandising, HR, Customer Care), enabling a centralized service portal and improved dev workflows; within 14 months Hayneedle migrated from legacy systems, increased efficiency by about 33%, and boosted visibility and morale.
