Kabbage is a fintech and data platform in Atlanta that provides automated, real-time funding to small businesses and serves more than 90,000 customers. Rapid growth—from founding in 2009 to 350+ employees by 2016—left the company relying on disparate communication tools and struggling to consolidate systems and streamline workflows across departments and external partners.

Kabbage standardized on Atlassian tools (Hipchat, Confluence, Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, Bitbucket, Bamboo), making Confluence the single source of truth, using Hipchat for company-wide notifications, and adopting Jira across teams for project and ticket management. The integrated stack enabled faster collaboration with partners (reducing long email threads), supported continuous deployment (about six releases a day), and increased transparency and productivity across technical and nontechnical teams.
