Camerican International, a 50-person U.S. food importer based in Paramus, NJ, struggled with fragmented information and no single source of truth — employees didn’t know where to go when they had questions. Leadership needed a simple, scalable way to centralize customer data, orders, shipments and operational knowledge.
They built a custom business platform on Confluence augmented with Atlassian Marketplace add‑ons, making Confluence the company-wide hub for customer records, order tracking and reporting. The system now hosts over 1,200 spaces and 26,704 pages (growing by roughly 500 spaces and 10,000 pages a year), was developed iteratively with an agile, build-as-you-go approach, and enabled a low‑cost custom CRM without in‑house programmers.
