Releases are first deployed internally and then rolled out into 65 distinct client environments with multiple iteration waves, so the firm required a holistic solution to manage many contributors and parallel projects from idea to production.

BlackRock adopted Jira Software to orchestrate roughly 500 releases per week, giving teams visibility, control, and the flexibility to support varied workflows. Developers extend Jira with the SDK and Marketplace plugins to customize UIs, triggers, templates, and integrations, enabling scalable release management, better tool interoperability, and improved efficiency across teams.
