Sony Music Publishing streamlines and automates complex processes across over four million songs with Jira Service Management

Sony Music Publishing, the world’s leading music publisher managing a catalog of over four million songs, faced a scaling challenge: a manual, email-based intake and registration process (built on Outlook rules) could not keep up with exploding volumes, complex rights and deals, or provide the visibility needed by global affiliates and songwriters.

Partnering with Trundl, SMP implemented Jira Service Management Cloud Premium to create the GCA Delivery Desk — a single workflow with forms, integrations and dozens of automations (now 200+). The platform streamlined intake, gave real-time reporting and dashboards, saved roughly 1,500 hours a year, created two new headcount roles, sped up service to affiliates and songwriters, and is being rolled out across other departments as part of a broader digital transformation.
