How Mary's Meals feeds more than 2.6 million children every schoolday with support from Atlassian cloud

Mary’s Meals runs 20 worldwide school feeding programs and needed a more scalable, resilient IT foundation to support its rapid growth. As demand increased, the organization faced performance, efficiency, and security challenges that were limiting its ability to expand its mission of feeding children every schoolday with support from Atlassian Confluence and Atlassian Cloud tools.

Atlassian Confluence helped Mary’s Meals migrate to the cloud and replace custom Jira code with Atlassian Automation, along with Marketplace apps and native cloud features. The result was improved performance and security, plus at least eight hours saved each month on security testing and fixes, allowing the team to redirect time to strategic work. Most importantly, Mary’s Meals more than doubled the number of children it feeds, from 1.3 million to over 2.6 million per day.
