How Atlassian’s Data Center helps The Hong Kong Jockey Club simplify risk and improve performance

Hong Kong Jockey Club, one of Hong Kong’s largest nonprofit organizations, needed a more scalable and reliable way to support its expanding IT operations. After years on Atlassian server products, the team looked to Atlassian Confluence and related tools as part of a move to standardize workflows, support a “Jira Everywhere” rollout, and reduce the risks and performance limits that were slowing growth.

Atlassian Confluence helped the club migrate 1,000 Jira and Confluence users to Data Center, alongside Jira, Bitbucket, and BigPicture for better planning and CI/CD support. The result was improved high availability, faster response times, easier security and user management, and reduced operational risk; the IT team also gained better reporting and more frequent quarterly planning, helping demonstrate stable infrastructure and organizational progress.
